Here on HMF we do not agree with players being able to simply pick up a weapon and use it, so we made a system for it, it isnt anything complex, but it is a must. to start you are allowed five skills/techniques, not five of each, but five between the two, you may ask, what is the difference between a skill and a technique, well its simple, a Skill is like a martial art, or being skilled with a type of weapon, where as a Technique is a magical like ability that runs on Life Source energy, and just like with anything else they have rules;

Skills:
Like i said before, skills are very simple, it is your hand to hand, or weapon skills, they have to be stated, it helps keep people from being to over powered from the get go, and it also makes it so not every person on the site can just pick up a sword and swing it like a master. And now here are a few basic rules;

  1. No auto hitting.
  2. No Instant Kill.
  3. No absolute.
  4. Do not make your Skill OP
  5. Remember to be clear about what your skill is, and does, we do not do "it doesn't say i cant," we will hold it to what it says, and odds are you will miss something, in which case you can talk with a staff member, and they might okay what you think it should do, and allow you to edit it in.
  6. Skills do not have weaknesses, but that does not mean they do not take their toll on your body, remember to abide by your stats, some one with Standard stats wont likely be able to go 10 posts of intense hand to hand fighting, and if they do, they will with out a doubt be feeling it.
  7. Skills are Skills, you may not be the only one with the skills you have, but that does not mean people can steal your skills if you make something unique, if you feel some one has, please let a staff member know and they will check it out.
  8. Remember Staff can reject things no questions asked, if you feel that they had no grounds to reject you skill(s), please contact an Admin ASAP.

Techniques:
This is a little more complex, a Technique is like being able to form and throw a fire ball, its an ability that is based on your Intelligence, Stamina, and Life Source some people will have Techniques that require a lot of Stamina due to them needing to be sustained for long periods of time, other will require less since because they are are simple and burst use, but over all think of them as some form of magical abilities that you can create your self. And once again, here are some simple rules;

  1. Techniques must be balanced, the ability can not out weigh the weakness, no exceptions.
  2. No auto hitting.
